After  graduating, he was immediately admitted to practice as an attorney in the state of Louisiana.

He began his legal career at the Louisiana governor’s office as an advocate for adults and children with mental health issues. From there, Trey held a position in a leading small firm specializing in asbestos  litigation. Trey then entered private practice where he handles various matters including family law,  bankruptcy, real estate transactions and general civil litigation.

While continuing his private practice, Trey joined the firm of Mark Smith & Associates, PLC where he focuses on social security disability law.

Trey is married and is a father to a beautiful baby boy. A lifelong resident of Louisiana, he grew up in Luling, Louisiana and still has a love for the River Parishes. He has volunteered his skills in advising local environmental organizations as well as volunteering his time to pro bono work. He enjoys canoeing and hiking with his dog, Pearl.

Trey’s insights into various areas of the law make him uniquely qualified to decipher what his clients need and how best to address those needs. He takes great pride in being resourceful while counseling clients on minimizing their risks and assisting them in making successful decisions pertaining to legal matters.
